Welcome to The Inspection Boys! These Terms and Conditions (“Terms”) govern your use of our website, scheduling platforms, and services provided by The Inspection Boys, Inc. (“Company,” “we,” “our,” or “us”). By booking an inspection, using our website, or otherwise engaging with us, you (“Client,” “you,” or “your”) agree to be bound by these Terms.
1. Scope of Services
The Inspection Boys provides residential and commercial inspection services, which may include but are not limited to:
- General Home Inspections
- Pre-Listing Inspections
- Commercial Property Inspections
- Mold Assessments
- Sewer Scope Inspections
- Termite/Wood Destroying Insect Inspections
- Parapet Wall Inspections
- Asbestos Inspections
- Water Quality Testing
- Radon Testing
- Pool Inspections
- Infrared Inspections
- Additional environmental or specialty inspections as requested or deemed necessary
⚠️ Please note: The above list is not exhaustive. Additional inspection types may be offered based on your needs, property type, or local requirements. Each inspection is non-invasive and limited to visible and accessible areas of the property at the time of service.
2. Inspection Limitations
- No Guarantee or Warranty: The inspection is not a warranty or guarantee of future condition.
- Visual and Non-Invasive: Inspectors do not move personal items, dismantle systems, or enter inaccessible areas.
- Environmental Conditions: Lack of access, weather, or utility shutoffs may limit findings.
- Hidden or Future Defects: We are not responsible for defects that are not visible at the time of inspection or that develop afterward.
3. Client Responsibilities Clients must:
- Ensure full access to the property, including basements, attics, garages, and all utility systems.
- Confirm utilities are active.
- Notify relevant parties (e.g., tenants, brokers, property managers) of the inspection.
- Submit any concerns or disputes in writing within 7 days of receiving the inspection report.
4. Fees and Payment
- Inspection fees must be paid in full prior to or at the time of service unless otherwise agreed.
- Additional fees may apply based on property size, travel, or added services.
- Reinspection or return trip fees may apply if access is denied or systems are not operational.
5. Cancellations and Refunds
- Cancellations must be made at least 24 hours in advance.
- Late cancellations may incur a 50% cancellation fee.
- If an inspector is dispatched and access is denied, a trip fee may be charged
6. Inspection Report
- A written report is typically delivered within 24–48 hours of the inspection.
- The report reflects the condition at the time of inspection and is intended solely for the Client’s use.
- Distribution of the report without written consent is prohibited.
- The Inspection Boys retains ownership of all reports.
7. Limitation of Liability
- The total liability of The Inspection Boys, for any claim arising from services rendered, shall not exceed the total inspection fee paid.
- We are not liable for consequential, incidental, or indirect damages.
- Client agrees not to hold The Inspection Boys liable for any condition not present, not visible, or otherwise inaccessible at the time of inspection.
8. Dispute Resolution & Jurisdiction
- Any complaints must be submitted in writing within 14 days of receiving the report.
- Clients must allow for a reinspection before any repairs are made if they wish to pursue a dispute.
- All claims, actions, or legal proceedings must be filed and heard exclusively in Suffolk County, New York.
9. Third-Party Referrals
- Referrals or recommendations to contractors or third parties are made as a courtesy and do not constitute endorsements or guarantees.
- The Inspection Boys is not responsible for work performed by any third party.
10. Website Use
By using our website or scheduling platform, you agree not to:
- Input false information
- Attempt to interfere with or disable site functionality
- Use any content without written permission
11. Privacy Policy
Your use of our services is subject to our Privacy Policy, which governs the collection and handling of your data.
12. Force Majeure
We are not liable for failure to perform due to events beyond our control, including but not limited to natural disasters, system outages, labor shortages, or governmental orders
13. Modifications
We may update these Terms at any time. Continued use of our services constitutes your acceptance of the updated Terms.
